HTC Eco-Friendly Packaging

While employed at One&Co, I worked with a team to develop this Eco-Friendly packaging for HTC. Our objective was to design a sustainable packaging solution that complimented the beauty of the phone design. Afterall, a great product deserves a great box. We analyzed every element of the existing packaging, down to the rubber band used to tie up accessories. Then we started reducing. The new packaging direction presents your new phone in an elegant and sustainable way, with 99.5% of it made from renewable resources and all of it 100% recyclable. Not to mention 44% lighter, 13% smaller, and a transportation carbon footprint shrunk by 44%.

The HTC Eco-Friendly Packaging project reduced environmental impact while maintaining elegance. Using 100% recyclable, renewable, and biodegradable materials, the packaging features 65% bagasse and 35% bamboo pulp, with soy ink for printing. By reducing size, weight, and complexity, we cut transportation emissions by 41,100 metric tons annually. The design also prioritized humanistic aesthetics with rounded corners, smooth surfaces, and a gift-box presentation. This approach blends sustainability with a distinctive, elegant experience, setting a new standard for eco-conscious product packaging.
